My first message to Jake a few years ago went something like this: "Hey, dude. We don't know each other but it seems like we should be friends." A few weeks after that we were paddle boarding/kayaking down some rapids, and my suspicions were confirmed. Fast forward a few years when Jake told me he was going to ask this girl he had been dating to marry him, and I was so incredibly stoked for him. He had found his Best Teammate.Jade and I met Jake and Whitney for BBQ lunch at Miller's Smokehouse in Belton. We heard their stories of overcoming strongholds in their past, and the path that led them to each other. We knew right away that they were our kind of people and we were so happy to photograph their wedding.Whitney and Jake had a small ceremony in downtown Belton, celebrating with their families and a few close friends. The intimate setting was perfect to promise their commitment to one another. And the party that evening was magic.Jake and Whitney have started their own business in Austin called Fit-Bar. These two are proving to be the Best Teammates Ever.
